This forum explores & explains how choppers are the most ignorant fools of tabletennis & how they are TOTALLY clueless about the history of the sport in the context of chopping blades & rubbers & how choppers are so spineless with zero self-respect or self-esteem

Maximum allowed pip length for ITTF slave choppers > What you need to know

Post by Stofoulos »

If you are a chopper (or pips player) using actual long pips ( and not an an ITTF slave using ITF's pips that are mostly useless in the 40+ platic ball ONLY era) then this information below is very important to you as listed on the new 2025 ITTF Statutues (previously known as ITTF Handbook)
Below is the relevant rule
See if you clearly understand the implications .

2.4.3 A side of the blade used for striking the ball shall be covered with either
ordinary pimpled rubber, with pimples outwards having a total thickness
including adhesive of less than 2.05mm , or sandwich rubber, with pimples
inwards or outwards, having a total thickness including adhesive of less than
4.05mm, subject to any margin of tolerance specified in the relevant
technical equipment document.
2.4.3.1 Ordinary pimpled rubber is a single layer of non-cellular rubber, natural
or synthetic, with pimples evenly distributed over its surface at a density
of not less than 10 per cm² and not more than 30 per cm².
2.4.3.2 Sandwich rubber is a single layer of cellular rubber covered with a single
outer layer of ordinary pimpled rubber, the thickness of the pimpled
rubber not being more than 2.0mm.
