The dampening sponge is great for anti , for pips , it is fantastic to block powerful topspins,..other than that , reversal and disruption are greatly reduced , which for blockers is the way to perdition

Actually HaggisV posted few posts before this talking about dampening sponge
But no mention of the fact that it is not approved under new ITTF rules to use a sponge that is not part of the rubber that is listed on LARC
That is no longer allowed.

This is the primary reason I do not follow OOAK forum
I can quote 100s of instances where HaggisV posts misleading information about pips
They claim they promote all spins styles
But if you post anything about non-ITTF rubbers you are considered a nut job & eventually your posts deleted & you will be banned using the convenient excuse that you are trolling or spamming
