How close is estimated rating to a player's actual USATT rating ?

Estimating a rating in table tennis is not easy.
Table tennis is not gymnastics or figure skating where you can be rewarded for grace & beauty in addition to athleticism
A player who looks he or she has graceful flawless loops from both wings may fall apart in a tournament even against other loopers let alone all spin players.
A player may look pretty clumsy but may be very consistent in just managing to barely get the ball across the table time & again and win matches

I know lots of players avoid USATT tournaments or even USATT leagues because they do not want to be associated with a (low) rating
