Food for thought for chopper fools > racket size transitions in tennis and table tennis

This forum explores & explains how choppers are the most ignorant fools of tabletennis & how they are TOTALLY clueless about the history of the sport in the context of chopping blades & rubbers & how choppers are so spineless with zero self-respect or self-esteem. WHy they have no clue about 14 rule changes by ITTF since 1977 to limit them

Food for thought for chopper fools > racket size transitions in tennis and table tennis

Post by Appelhof »

Think about this
In table tennis during the hardbat days, players used larger rackets
In the sponge era the rackets have gotten much smaller

Compare to tennis
The rackets were smaller in the wood era
The rackets are much larger in the composite rackets era

Composite materials got lighter
So it is possible now to create tennis rackets with larger heads for larger sweet spot

Table tennis rackets got smaller with focus on close to the table attacking style
This required smaller rackets compared to the larger head sizes of the hardbat era
So table tennis went in the opposite direction.

But the moral of the story is as follows
OX type slim pips or actual long pips are the ONLY best rubbers for away from the table amateur choppers
However manufacturers have made zero efforts to produce oversized (at least 172 mm in both width as well as height) smart blades ( backhand composition for OX different from forehand composition ) for amateur choppers, given that the racket weight can be lower if you are only using OX rubbers, mimicking oversized tennis rackets for larger sweet spot as well as massive spin amplification ( = spin generation+spin reversal ) using OX long pips

Keep in mind that slim pips or actual long pips are the ONE & ONLY rubber type in table tennis that is capable of spin amplification which can also be further enhanced using a lighter OX one side racket even for at the table chop-blockers and not just away from the table choppers.

You can not only create the most powerful backspins using larger rackets for away from the table chopping using actual long pips , but also create more powerful topspin lobs and counter loops higher dwell time and larger sweet spots of oversized rackets (blades)

But sadly choppers are kept clueless by incessant brainwashing by manufacturers who claim that mid size (not even semi large) rackets & blades can be used by away from the table choppers just because at the table blockers can use them
