Trick to not crater the sponge
The best trick to not crater the sponge when you remove the sponge it's to apply booster and let it dry, as everybody knows the oil it's very good against adhesives, of course you must be careful removing the glue but you will see how easy it's to remove the glue.

Re: Trick to not crater the sponge
Anyone is free to post whatever they like but personally for me I would be very careful recommending use of boosters or spein glues for obvious common law illegality as well as it being unapproved under Rule 2.4.7 & Regulation 3.4.2.2 of ITTF statutesmerlin el mago wrote: ↑March 17th, 2026, 10:19 pm The best trick to not crater the sponge when you remove the sponge it's to apply booster and let it dry, as everybody knows the oil it's very good against adhesives, of course you must be careful removing the glue but you will see how easy it's to remove the glue.
I also realize the practice of boosting is rampant in ITTF's version of top spin only Olympic table tennis
But let us say I recommended boosting to say someone in my club & they develop cancers or tumors or other health issues short term or even long term 10 years from now.
Not only IOC, OTTF and local affiliates and my club may face civil lawsuits but even lawsuits for reckless criminal negligence.
Simply because noone has sued the IOC yet does not mean it won't happen in the future.
All it takes is one lawsuit and floodgates will open to an avalanche of lawsuits once lawyers smell money from not firsthand issues due to chemical abuse but secondhand effects as well
Judgement day is coming sooner or later to the IOC & ITTF

Re: Trick to not crater the sponge
The booster here isn't used to boost the sponge so I don't left the time to boost the sponge, you need a non high viscosity booster only a thin layer using the brush of FTLB 5-10 minutes to left the oil penetrate the glue without going to the sponge & you see how easy is to remove the glue from the sponge without any crater.
Wrong, booster don't cause cancer because don't have VOC. Speed glue yes can cause cancer due to VOC.
About the use of booster I'm not convinced how IOC or ITTF can enforce the rule when approved inverted rubbers are factory boosted!!!

Re: Trick to not crater the sponge
This are the biggest misconceptions that robotNazi propaganda machine spreads to confuse players & gain support for their causemerlin el mago wrote: ↑March 20th, 2026, 12:17 am Wrong, booster don't cause cancer because don't have VOC. Speed glue yes can cause cancer due to VOC.
First let let us talk about your statement "Speed glue yes can cause cancer due to VOC."
When the spein glue ban was quickly repealed , ITTF said they will allow VOC free spein glues & they allowed them till boosters arrived,
The problem with this assumption about spein glues (& now boosters) is that the robotNazis want everyone to thinbk that they are only using VOC free spein glues & boosters .
But the simple fact of the matter is this > the more carcinogenic a spein glues or booster is, the better it will perform.
So, simply because the robotNazis claim that they are only using VOC free spein glues and boosters does not make it true.
Because most effective spein glues & boosters are home made VOC ful concoctions spein glues & boosters.
But since there is no 100% testing even at the highest levels which you admit, the boosting at lower level is even more rampant because there is zero testing at lower levels & opponents, officials, families, spectators (women & children) are unwillingly suffer second hand exposure to these dangerous chemicals.
If ITTF claims they banned all boosters , why are even allowing factory boosted rubbers ? They should not.
Regardless , robotNazis use this loophole to claim that they can boost because ITTF condone boosting by allowing factory boosted rubbers
So the major problem is not just the "products" only , various so called approved spein glues & boosters , the bigger problem is the acceptance of the "process" of boosting & spein gluing itself
