If you are Satoshi Aida or Nikolay Telnoy - go ahead).
But an average amateur is NOT Satoshi Aida or Norio Takashima or Ding Song or Hou Yingchao or Honoka Hashimoto or Han Ying or Mima Ito etc.
And they never will be with very few exceptions , who could but the probability is just as low as someone becoming a shakehand wide(stiff) pips world champion or even a top 10 like Johnny Huang or even Wang Tao
These pros win NOT because of their choice of rubbers but they rather win DESPITE their wrong choices of rubber & blades.
Ding Yaping herself hinted as to why Mima Ito is a failure. (They both look very similar in build but Deng Yaping was one of the early first players to choose slim (flex) pips .........there were a few Chinese women long pippers in mid 1970's before actual long)flex) pips were promptly banned in 1977) .
It is the same thing with ALL PRO Indian women using dumb blade (most of them use Butterfly Viscaria..........which is great for forehand but not at all for slim (flex) pips backhand)
And the billions of Indian amateur women blindly follow what Manika does & use the exact rubber & blade.
Tibhar Grass Dtec.
Manika is making Tibhar filthy rich but she is not even sponsored by Tibhar.
If I were Neha, Manicka or Sreeja or Ayhika I would ask these others to join me in starting my own company manufacturing actual non-ITTF long pips, anti rubbers and smart blades . But I guess it is quite hard to do it if you still playing but I think Neha can do it.
