WTT Player Profie issues

Post by Quent »

Take a look at the player profile attached.
The worst is the player style , it says right hand or left hand. That is not a playing "style" . Does anyone care much about that really ?
They should include things like two winged power looper, wide (stiff) pips block and smash, anti loop and block, slim (flex) pips chop-blocker, slim pips modern looper etc etc.

The winning % is Ok but not that usefu;l because a player playing WTT feeder could have a highwin % as the World #! players.

WTT could also include forehand and backhand rubber types and sell publishing rights the exact rubbers & blade names to manufacturer if it is OK with players.

Why do they all pose with hands folded ?
They could come up with interesting variations

If they are going to keep updating World Ranking for the players in singles , they might as well show doubles & mixed doubles ratings
It is available fromm ITTF rankings site

It would definitely make sense to show their highest ever ranking in addition to current ranking.

As many of you know many amateur players quit or play less once they reach what they perceive as their highest rating
This is true with ratings like German TTR or USATT ratings etc
Of course it is different for amateurs and pros but just saying
