Why are Manika, Sreeja, Yashaswini & other indian women using TOTALLY wrong blades ?

My understanding is that these 3 use Butterfly Viscaria.
Unless it is customised as I discuss below standard blades are garbage for blocker style using smart rackets

Why you ask.
It is because you cannot have a composite layer on the slim (flex) pips side of a smart racket even as an inner layer, let along as outer layer .
Why ? Because that almost totally kills the effectiveness of the OX slim (flex) pips.
If you are using sponge with your slim (flex) pips that is not too bad but these players should NOT be using slim (flex) pips with sponge. They are using the right OX slim (flex) pips & that is not an issue.
Having a composite layer on the smooth rubber side is perfectly fine.
The layers on the slim (flex) pips side of the blade should enhance the effect of long pips not kill it as done by a composite layer.
The key is maximizing the isolation of the smooth rubber side from the slim (flex) pips side by the correct choice of core layer & the layers on the slim (flex) pips side . You want slow layers that maximize the dwell time to maximize spin reversal.

There are few Dr.Neubauer & Hallmark blades with asymmetric designs but the problem with them is that they do not have a composite layer on smooth side.
Another big problem is blade size. You cannot use an offensive sized blade like Viscaria for blocking or chop blocking.
Again you need a larger blade to maximize spin reversal on slim (flex) pips side. This will actually give more top spin on your forehand side as well.
And when you twiddle & block with smooth rubber on backhand side the larger sweet spot helps. You need a blade ideally at least 168 mm by 168 mm or at worst 165 mm by 165 mm. Viscaria etc. are just too small
So my suggestion to these players is to have a custom blade no brand blade locally or find a manufacturer who will sponsor you and make blades for your custom requirements.
You are far too valuable for India & you are such high level on women’s side & should not be using production blades. That is beneath your level & status.
These production blades just do not have enough back spin on the slim (flex) pips side.
Also I honestly think you have reached as high as you can despite using crappy equipment. It is high time to optimize your equipment
