How YouTube videos of table tennis can be more meaningful
It is extremely annoying when these videos focus more on chronological occurrences (when event is played) & table logistics (what table number a match is played on) than player names & drama I am not at all saying chronological occurrences (when event is played) are not important . They are ...

Re: Charmander returns only to be mislead by OOAK forum owner Haggisv Re: Long pip on dampening sponge
Actually HaggisV posted few posts before this talking about dampening sponge But no mention of the fact that it is not approved under new ITTF rules to use a sponge that is not part of the rubber that is listed on LARC That is no longer allowed. Case of the blind leading the blind This is the prima...

Re: The sad history & bizarre demise of (away from the table) chopper blades
Another important reason is the size of the ball. The ball size has increased from 38 mm to 40+ mm plastic but the blade size has not kept up with ball size increase. To understand this better imagine playing defense using a 160 mm blade in the proposed 44 mm ball era. This is DEFINITELY a critical...

Re: Is there a way to limit spin in table tennis, like pickleball does for every paddle
They do not have to test every racket in table tennis Assume that some lab tested the top spin RPM of a spinny inverted rubber such as Tenergy or Zyre 3 or Hurricane 3 Neo etc. and compared it to the back spin created by useless slim pips on ITTF LARC such as Feint long 2 or 3 or KTL Stranger OX (o...

Re: Best grip for looping
Not just better .
Actually far superior both on forehand & RPH backhand
On RPH backhand , because of built in natural hook loop action & also very deceptive as to whether going down straight loop the line or cross court hook loop

Re: When did manufacturers stop making chopper rubbers & blades
Manufacturers slowly moved away from chopper blades as soon as sponge table tennis became more popular
This would be around 1960s
Before that all chopper blades like 172 mm to 175 mm & were mostly oval with head width & length almost the same
