If you want to defend try the same as I use D.M.S. The Wall Carbon, oversized blade but not exagerate, very good enlarged sweep spot thanks to carbon fiber, my advice is to use minimum D80 (I'm using now) or T05 (used before) if you like bouncy rubber so more speed.
I am looking at
blade specifications for DMSWall
It says blade size is Dimensions: 16.2 cm x 15.6 cm x 0.54 cm (L/W/H)
This is just a mid size blade & not even a semi large blade
It is extremely important for pips player snot to be brainwashed by manufacturers making wild claims smaller blade are over sized
Sizewise , this blade may be suitable for at the table blockers and chop-blockers but it is far far far from qualifying as a blade for away from the table choppers
I am repeating blade sizes that I advise der echte & Cole Ely.
Cole should know better since he is an equipment dealer
Below are the two topics that gives you names of correct blade sizes
ColesTT , please stop belittling choppers by calling semi-large blades as oversized blades
Der_Echte , Gambler Rosewood is NOT an oversized blade

Hey, xmas time, be relaxed & enjoy the travel. BTW not post and extract from context, he's using MTC so he plays close to the table he's not a classical defender playing far from the table.
FYI close to the table blocker & chop-blocker also exist please remember that not only classical defenders & robonazis exist....

No problem.
Happy holidays
But I did say in context "

Anyway , yes I absolutely go crazy if someone gets brainwashed by the manufacturers or ITTF & itis coaches by calling smaller blades as oversized.
Because blade size is the Number 2 problem after rubber pip length and aspect ratio
Number 3 problem is using dumb blades instead of smart blades. (Here at least Dt.Neubauer is a smart blade)
Yet almost all pips players especially choppers completely ignore these 3 factors & are clueless because ITTF has successfully and brilliantly brainwashed them ever since 1977 into believing that ITTF & its manufacturers know what is good for pips players. The blades size is one of the major variables and also completely neglected .
Because, away from the table choppers need to understand that
1. there are no rubbers for either blockers or choppers
2. there are no oversized mass produced non-custom blades for choppers
3. there are no smart blades for choppers
4. even the so called custom made blades for choppers do not meet above requirements because blademakers do not want to deal with large blades
in the
top spin only Olympic table tennis domain in the 40+ plastic ball only era
But they refuse

Actually only close to the table blockers and chop-blockers exist for the most part.
Now that Gionis and Ruwen are all but done, the ITTF project "chopper gas chambers" is complete
So I cannot completely blame manufacturers if they no longer cater for away from the table choppers

I see playing a couple of young Chinese players: one classic defender far from the table & the other defender playing close to table twiddling a lot both extraordinary players.
