I was just curious as to what are the primary indicators that you may have a bad coach for table tennis

Table tennis is an extremely equipment sensitive sport.
I am not going int debate here whether it is good or bad but it is what it is.

So based on that I would expect a coach to pat great attention to the racket design of a player during various stages of development.

I know right away if coach is biased and not suitable if they routinely choose a dumb inverted racket to beginners especially children, older adults or para players.

The top spin only smooth rubber dumb racket is a fraud model. I was brainwashed by ITTF and its coaches for over 45 years till last year into believing that all children & beginners should start with smooth rubber dumb rackets. The Indian girls & women have blown this absurd premise right out of the arena.

I kind of understand in a way though because the coaches themselves are brainwashed themselves by the corrupt table tennis system.

So without going into details , I know a coach is a bad coach if they let the student play with whatever they want or choose a dumb mooth racket routinely for beginners especially children.
