Re: 2026 19 to 25 October ATTU Asian Championships , Tashkent, Uzbekistan
Not a bad arena But where are the spectators ? Stands are COMPLETELY empty Not even other players During old days of Soviet Union (Uzbekistan was a part of) , all communist countries used to bring school children and fill at least part of the arena :D This is also a common practice in places like C...

Re: A good illustration of basic serves from Alex Horscroft
Asian grip serves are probably better than European grip serves at every level of the sport. The amount of spins one can create with the wrist in addition t disguised high levels of variation is insane using Asian grip. This is why I have seen a few European grip players at all levels actually use ...

Re: Year when chopper blades and rubbers disappeared from table tennis
As far as blades go, I believe even large chopper blades with size about 169 mm head size (let alone REAL oversized blades with at least 172 mm head size) were not available ins standard production sizes in the sponge domain 38 mm ball era itself

New service rule change propositions for ITTF 2026 London AGM by USA & Hong Kong
What do you think about Proposition A-03
Proposed by the Hong Kong, China Table Tennis Association
It sets a limit on the angle of the toss from vertical
Proposition A-04
Proposed by USA Table Tennis
This seems like possibly a good change but is somewhat ambiguous for enforcement

Re: Should table tennis be moved to winter Olympics ?
Beach volleyball is definitely a summer sport
But 6 player volleyball is almost all indoor now & so can go either way ?
Then again one could say the same thing about basketball
3 on 3 is probably like beach volleyball

Re : Lessons I Learned in Shanghai about Boosting and Equipment in General
on May 15, 2024 #1 Hey Guys, this is my first post on this forum which I've been browsing for quite some time. First, I want to thank the TTD community because I've learned a lot from it. Today, it's my turn to share my learnings with you! I just got back from a week in Shanghai, where I spent time...

Re: Dumbest of dumb (or Super Dumb) rackets & smartest of smart (Or Super Smart) rackets
If you have read profiles of posters in ITTF worship forums like TableTennisDaily or TT-News.de you will see that theer are lots of players who use dumbest of dumb rackets and trying to pretend like the ybelong in Top Spin only Olympic table tennis . It is quite hilarious. I can understand brainwash...

Re: Quick direct links to webpages on ITTF.com website
WTT players list In player's profiles , for players style , it says left hand or right hand . That is the stupidest classification of playing style I have ever seen :x Not really. Because WTT & ITTF is essentially an ITTF's top spin only version of Olympic table tennis. Other playing styles are...

Re: Confused about rubber types
There are additional confusing factors. For example my understanding is that manufacturers can request ITTF to classify a rubber as anti type. There are no defined parameter for a rubber to be called an anti rubber. Especially for he most important parameter called COF (Coefficient of Friction) . Th...
